Founder

Synopsis
Dr. Céline C.S. Nicole-de Groot has been a senior researcher at Signify group (brands Philips and Fluence) since 2001. She has expertise in physics, plant sciences, chemistry, thermodynamics, light, data analysis, and sensing technology. Expertise in thermal management and CFD calculation. Over the last 15 years, she has accumulated expertise in technology and light for greenhouse and indoor horticulture. She specializes in the quality and nutritional content of food, growth, and pre- or post-harvest quality of various horticultural crops under LED lighting. Her crop expertise extends from vegetables, fruits, floriculture, plant based proteins and medicinal cannabis (optimizing yield and compounds for medicine). Since 2018, she has been conducting research on medicinal cannabis yield and quality. Research Program Lead for indoor farming research in the Netherlands and has been contact for open innovation programs (University, Public/Private programs). She supervises and co-promotes university students (PhDs, Msc, Bsc) at Wageningen University&Research, HAS, and other institutes.
